History
Jan Leopold, count from Dietrichstein, built the building that is today’s boarding house as a ground floor structure in the year 1756. Originally a manor hospital for 12 poor, a girl’s school, and from 1880 a nursery school, were located here. In 1878 the building was enlarged by one floor taking on today’s appearance.
After being returned to the possession of the Mensdorff-Pouilly family and after extensive reconstruction in 2003, the building started serving for accommodations as a Garni type hotel.

Penzion Pod zámkem is located in the chateau complex very close to the centre of town. The Penzion has a total capacity of 47 beds. Accommodations, which include breakfast, are in one and two-bed rooms. Family rooms are awaiting parents with children. All rooms have their own bathroom, TV and telephone. Free parking is available to guests of Penzion Pod Zamkem.
Conference Room
The Penzion has a conference room available for holding seminars or schooling (50 person capacity). The conference room is equipped with internet connection, high quality projection equipment, a video player, and a DVD player.
Reception Desk
The reception desk operates 24 hours a day, where it is possible to purchase refreshments, souveniers, and toiletries.
Meals
Although breakfast is served in our own dining room other meals are able to be had at Hradni Club Restaurant. The restaurant is located directly across from the penzion and guest of Penzion Pod Zamkem are offered a 10% discount.
